It is a quick, easy read that stays with you after you set it down. I certainly understand the book and the symbolism in it, but I'm still not sure about it. It tells the tale of two men, George and Lennie, who go around from place to place because Lennie continues to do bad things unintentionally. I loved the majority of the book, but the ending threw me off. I won't spoil anything, but it is a very profound ending. I guess what it comes down to is that I would have liked more. It ends fast and abruptly. Overall: A-
