Just life

Well. It's getting interesting. And hard.

I have a lot to do. School can just go away any time now. I like learning, I really do, but not when I have six thousand things to do. My AP Euro History Exam is in 12 twelve days...that's really soon. My I-Search is due the exact same day as well. I still have a lot of work to do on that. Then I have my AP English Exam on the 16th. But before all of that, on the 9th, I'll have my birthday. Not that I will do anything because I will be crazy stressed and Cassie won't even be here.

Also exciting (and stressful) is a new job! I am now a hostess at IHOP. I have training this week four days (and possibly saturday) from 4-10. Yikes. That leaves very little time for homework. I also have to find a way to bring up my math grade. A lot. I have to exempt that class. Have to. I cannot imagine having to take that exam. That would just be gross.

But I'll find a way to do it all. I always do. So now I am off to work on the i-search and study history.

I'm torn and I'm tattered
Sick and tired living my life singing the same old song
Oh I, I feel a little battered
Looks like I'm living my life running a one-man show
Oh, I, I don't know where the feeling's gone
I'll survive, I'll stay alive, I'm gonna carry on
Tell me tell me, won't you tell me
Where's my mister man
Who will try to deny me now
Everything I plan to be

Order of the Phoenix International Trailer

The trailer is finally here! Yay! It looks awesome, as always. It looks very, very intense and dark, which is good, because that is how the book was. I can't wait to discuss it and find all the crazy little things. I'm glad to see that Fred and George leaving is in there. That is one of my all-time favorite book scenes. So exciting.

My Taurus Personality

This is an article about my zodiac sign (Taurus) and what Taurus's are usually like from here. I've notated where I think something is very true of kind of off.

Patience and reliability are the two most important traits of the Taurus person. Taureans need a stable, secure and material background. Emotional and material security is necessary for this warm-hearted and loving individual. Common sense is one of their stronger characteristics compounded with a persistent and determined nature.

The Taurean mind is methodical, careful and decisive. Once they have made a decision, it is rare they change their minds. This is very true. Not looking for short cuts, they make their way down the proven path.

With their natural charm, they endear others to them. Their soft voices give good advice to those who will listen. They seem to find people in need because those people usually seek the good Taurean out. And it could be because Taureans have such good shoulders to cry on.

Taurus needs someone with whom they can share their lives. They also seek calm in relationships. Emotional sanctuary is vital to them. Also very true. When there is tension in their home, they and those they love can expect a bumpy ride. Sudden flares of temper are not uncommon and they can put some oomph behind their temper when they have to.

When a Taurean loves, they love hard. This is unfortunately quite true. Relations with another are intense and passionate but they can also become complacent. One flaw in their personality may be that they tend to become possessive of the person they love. Woe unto that person or any other who tries to come between them and their chosen companion. At that point one might find out what it feels like to be charged by a thousand pound bull. This is perhaps one of their worst faults. Possession can lead to jealousy.

Under stable circumstances, Taureans are loving and kind. Eager to express love generously creates a situation which makes others want to be in their good graces. They open their lovely homes to others readily but just as readily want their homes back in order again without visitors. I agree with this. I like company, but at the end of the day, I want my own bed. A strong family life and tradition is very important to the Taurean. They love comfortable, secure home lives. It is a must for the reliable Taurean.

Loving routine, they may sometimes be considered boring, though they are not. They have become complacent instead.

As an infant, they generally smile at everyone and try to please their parents in the process. Caring for a Taurean infant is usually a pleasure. They learn in a thorough manner. Discipline is important for this child because they need a structured environment.

Taureans do not like to take risks. This is true to an extent financially. Other times not so true. They like a steady source of income but want the material success. Stress comes to them when they are not sure from where their next dollar will come. Because of this fact, many Taureans accept work they really don’t like. Their interest in money is not just practical but emotional as well. Careers in banking, insurance and the stock exchange are all good jobs for them. Yeah...I don't think you want me to be your broker... They have a naturally strong business sense. Agriculture, or anything to do with the outdoors, is good for them.

Needing a steady routine, they are not very good at change because it can be emotionally disturbing. This is definitely the least true of everything. I like change as long as it is in the right direction. This does not keep them from being good planners though and once they have a plan are eager to develop it.

Retirement is something a good Taurean looks forward to if they have enough money to live the good life. Even at this, they need something to keep them busy. I do like to have a final goal in mind.

Taurus Keywords: Possessive, Permanent, Patient, Reliable, Warm-hearted, Loving, Persistent, Determined, Placid, Security-loving, Jealous, Resentful, Inflexible, Self-indulgent, Greedy This are all mostly true. I don't think I am all that placid, inflexible, or jealous however. I know I am possessive, resentful and self-indulgent though.

Taurus Symbol: The bull
Taurus Ruling Planet: Venus
Taurus Part of the body it rules: The throat and neck and the thyroid gland Right...my thyroid is my ruling my body....that is cause for concern
Taurus Gemstone it rules: Emerald
Taurus Color it rules: Pink, Pale blue, Green, Pastel shades in general

Predictions

Here are my predictions. Some of the questions I like the middleground more though. I'll get more in detail when the book gets closer.

Communists are whimsical

When one thinks of spring break, one does not think of blustery, windy, blizzard-esqe conditions. But that is what I get. Snow. Crazy, psychotic, wet snow. Awesome. It's melting already, but really. I'm on spring break. Give me a break. I'm all sorts of sore because I had to do some serious shoveling both at home and work.

I spent the first half of my spring break in Madison with Cassie, doing the whole college thing. It was very, very fun. I LOVE Madison. It is the only college I am even really considering. I cannot wait until I go there. I did the norm, attending classes (1/2 of them about Russia) and hung out in the dorm. This time also have a few extra fun things. One, I walked to and through the capitol building. It really isn't too far of a walk and it was fun because I listened to classical music the entire time. Very dorky, very fun. Two, Cassie, me, and Amy watched House together and ate subs that were delicious. Three, I bought a pair of Puma shoes! I wanted Pumas for awhile, and now I have them!

Last night I went to a friend's birthday party and it was tons of fun. We played the game Apples to Apples, and it was sooo much fun. (Where the title originates) It's a good group game.

And now, I am very excited to post this below.
It's a picture that was literally stuck on my camera since Christmas. Somehow, it got stuck in the camera and not on the card, but today I got it off and I love this picture. It just seems to embody Cassie to me. I love it. I also got this picture of Hailey off the camera, and I think it is so cute.
I'll leave you with that cutie.

What Does It Mean?

I am officially on spring break and it is glorious. It is going to be a great week. Although I have been acting like I have been on break all week. Here's a snapshot of the last week:

Sunday-It was April Fools Day. And I was taken for. It was very, very good. And early. I don't want to go into it. Also, we did church and breakfast, which is always fun when Cassie is in attendance. Then dinner at Grandma's, which was lots of fun becasue we could all be there.

Monday-Pretty much normal. I don't really recall.

Tuesday-Me, my sisters, and my dad all went to the Bucks game. We got to go down to the floor and shot a free throw after the game, which was cool. Quote of the night: "Toooooo many steps." Thanks anouncer man. Sadly, Andrew Bogut was on the bench. This led to a minor degree of stalking on our part. By the way, he drinks lots of water.

Wednesday-Work and school, per the norm. Rewatched House from Tuesday night. Good episode. I love that show so much.

Thursday-Start of spring break!!! And lots of very successful shopping. Cassie and I started at Target, and I found a good birthday card for someone, and some fun new candy. Then, onto the mall. Here's the best part. I got a prom dress that I absolutely love. And I wasn't even trying to look for one. It was just there, waiting for me. Although getting it on was quite an adventure. That's why Cassie deserves the super pretty purse I bought here from Old Navy. I also found a good birthday for a friend, and bought myself some new flip-flops. Then, we went to the food court to eat, and had Quiznos, which was soooo good. It was a very successful night. (I look a tad crazy in the picture)Friday-Cleaned. And then cleaned. Then went grocery shopping. Then cleaned. Sufficent to say, my bedroom is clean. And it feels good. Then my beagle got dressed in a cape I found while cleaning. Really, she'll just spring into superbeagle state at any moment.

Today, I have to work and then go to dinner with the entire family. I'm sure Jen and Cassie will make it fun though.

In other news, I got lots of new music (compliments to Jen) and am loving it all. I despertly needed new stuff, and now I have lots of it. My favorite: Mika. And I'll be in Madison for a few days which I am tres excited for. It'll be lots of good fun.
