Slord Lockers are the new Chuck Norris

It's been a fairly good couple of weeks, and I just want to mention a few things:

-Cassie came home, we watched First Descent, a snowboarding film with Shaun White, Hanna Teter, and some other cool snowboarders. Good documentary.

-Slord lockers were invented from the foremost lord mocker. And, no, I cannot elaborate.

-I did a happy dance after finding out I got a 29 on the ACT. Because there is no way I could take that 5 hour test again.

-A bunch of family was in town, and we all went to watch the Ike boys basketball team win conference. We also went to church on sunday. It was all worth it because, thanks to Cassie's presence, continuous communion was a total bust.

-The temperature is now staying steadily over 32 degrees and it is wonderful. This also means I finally got to wash my car and make it shiny again.

-I have taken to reading White Toast & Bread and Shoutouts from the Badger Herald. (Student paper in Madison)

-I have no school tomorrow, and that makes me happy, happy, happy. Although I have homework, homework, homework.

-I'm seeing Ike's West Side Story tonight!

Quote musing for the week: Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept it; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenly and with too hight a spirit to be encumbered wiht your old nonsense.

Snow Day #3

Yes, you are reading correctly. Today was the third snowday of the 06/07 school year. I haven't had a snow day in six or seven years, and I get THREE this year. It is awesome. And two in a row. Now, I look forward to a three day week after a four day weekend. I am happy. I probably won't be tomorrow after the teachers assign all the work that has been missed, but oh well. That's how it goes. I had a good day, I worked, and although I didn't really want to, it is still good to make money and it wasn't too bad of a shift. I read a lot. For pleasure that is. And then I visited my grandparents and cousin which is always a good way to spend the day. Now, I can enjoy my last few hours of my snowday watching House and Gilmore Girls. Not a bad way to end the day.

Snow Day #2

It is my SECOND, count that, SECOND, 'snow' day for the 06-07 school year! It is awesome. This isn't a snow day, but it is a so-freaking-freezing-cold day. We haven't had a snow day in sooo many years, and this year, we get TWO! It's amazing. Well, I am off to go lie back in bed and do nothing (except read some great books, aka HP) and enjoy the cold weather from the inside. Stay warm!

JULY 21, 2007

Oh my gosh! Today is the day my life changed. And July 21, 2007 will be the day it ends. Finding out at 6:40 in the morning is not the most opportune way to find out, becasue you are still half asleep and unsure is what you are reading is real. I am sure glad I checked though. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be realeased July 21, 2007. I just don't know what to think.

I don't know weather to be happy or sad! It is a great thing, but it will be so sad to see it end. All I know is that a lot of planning must be done and rations to be gathered. heha. Nothing else to say, just oh my gosh!

Time to go edit my reading list! (Hey! There was a disclaimer)
